Surpassing a goal
Wilkinson Elementary recently celebrated reading month with a celebration for its students. The goal was to read 7,500 books and the students read over 8,500. The top readers for each grade level ate a special lunch with meteorologist Tom Schrader. Those who worked the whole day said, 'These men who were hired last worked only one hour and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.'
